Obituary of Dr. Fred Alexander Elder

Webster: Sun., March 29, 2015, age 85. Predeceased by his wife, Sally. He leaves his children, Debbie (Galen) Mattice, Valerie Elder, Peter (Pam) Elder, Heather (Jim McNeil) Elder; grandsons, Paul (Jenn) Reininger, Benjamin Elder, Michael Elder; great-granddaughter, Lexie; brother, Floyd Elder; nieces and nephews. Fred was a US Army veteran, earned his Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago, and was a retiree of Xerox where he held over 100 patents and published various scientific articles. Friends may call 4-8 Wed. at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where Military Honors will be conducted at the end of visitation. Graveside Service 12:00 (Noon) Thurs. at Seceder Cemetery, South Beaver Township, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to University of Chicago Alumni Assoc.
